Tips on GE Fruits and Vegetables- Keep in mind:

  • GE papaya is grown from Hawaii. Check your local market to see if whether your local produce of papaya is grown in Hawaii or not. 
  • Most GE soy and corn become animal feed; the vast majority of the remainder is incorporated into processed foods. 
  • Although infrequent, GE squash (zucchini, yellow crookneck squash), is grown in small amounts; as your grocer if you are concerned. 

Organic Food Tip

To be sure your food is non-GE, buy certified organic summer squash, sweet corn, and papaya.
