Even after rinsing, the average conventionally-grown apple has 20-30 artificial poisons on its skin. Do you really want to absorb that into your body? Fresh organic produce contains on average 50% more vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other micro-nutrients than intensively farmed produce. By eating only organic you are avoiding the foods that are genetically modified (GM). Intensively-reared dairy cows and farm animals are fed a dangerous cocktail of anti-biotics, growth promoting drugs, anti-parasite drugs and many other medicines on a daily basis, whether they have an illness or not. These drugs are then passed directly to you and your family. The more we learn about the dangerous conditions of our foods, the less likely we will be to develop diseases. I like to think when I eat an egg, the hen that laid it was nurtured and fed all organic feed grazing on the land. The processing plants of animals that are being used for mass market non organic foods are beyond inhumane Organic foods taste better with out all the extra pesticides and preservatives added. Organic farms support and nurture our diverse wildlife. Organic foods may seem to be more expensive than intensively farmed foods, but as we shell out millions of dollars to clean up the toxins the non conventional farms add to our planet alone, we would in return be saving our planet and our wallets to support our diets and our wildlife. There are much higher instances of cancer, respiratory problems and other major diseases in farm workers than from non-organic farms. If that doesn't tell you how harmful the toxins are.
