Body Care Recipes

PLEASE NOTE:

Although all the ingredients in these beauty recipes are natural, remember that it is still possible to be allergic to anything applied to the skin. DO NOT USE ANYTHING NUT BASED ON YOUR SKIN IF YOU HAVE A NUT ALLERGY. To test other ingredients make up a very small amount of the recipe you intend to use. Wash and gently dry a small patch of skin inside your elbow. Apply a little of the mix to the skin and leave for 48 hours. If you experience any redness or swelling DO NOT USE THE BEAUTY RECIPE AT ALL.

Citrus  Body Scrub

6 T unscented  liquid body soap (preferably castile or other detergent-free formula)

1 T sweet almond,  kukui nut or macadamia nut oil
1/2 c fine  sea salt
1T coarse sea  salt
1/4 t sweet  orange, grapefruit or lemongrass essential oil
1/4 t tangerine  essential oils
4-5 drops neroli  or lime essential oil

Combine the soap  and oils together in a bowl until well blended. Slowly add in the  salts, followed by the essential oils (which should be spread throughout  the mixture). Exfoliating techniques:

Try using sea salt to exfoliate with olive oil. Wash your body afterwards with a body wash and exfoliating glove. Apply a hydrating lotion afterwards.

Body brushes are excellent for removing dry skin. Use before a shower when skin is dry. Always using motions upwards to the heart to assist the lymphatic in removing toxins.

Cornmeal is an excellent gentle exfoliant mixed with any bath wash of your choice. Always use fresh and dry. Do not save any that is left over, with time in can and will mold.
